Dr. Henry Kanarek has served as an investigator at The Center for Pharmaceutical Research since 2010. Dr. Kanarek entered the field as an allergist in one of the oldest allergy practices in Kansas City. He is an adult and pediatric allergist who has been in private medical practice since 1993. He is well respected by his peers and spends a great deal of time educating other physicians and the general public about allergies, asthma and their related diseases. He has spoken locally, nationally and internationally to this effect. He has been listed in the last three editions of the Squire Newspaper’s Physician poll as one of Kansas City's Best Allergists.

Dr. Kanarek was raised in Kansas City, attending both grade school and junior high here as well as going to high school at nearby Shawnee Mission South. He then attended medical school at The University of La Salle in Mexico City, Mexico. Afterwards, he completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Kansas. Soon after, he began his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the University of Kansas and The Children's Mercy Hospital of Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Kanarek and his wife Kristi stay busy with their newborn Ethan. His oldest son Martin practices law in California and middle son Jeremy is a third year law-student at Harvard.
